My experience has been Great. Our new cars have been equipped w/ Save-a-Deer since I first used them.(about 10+ years ago) Usually any deer will bolt and run when it hears or sees a car in panic! But with the Deer whistle…. They just look up..and continue doing what they were doing. We’ve had three kids of our own and when each got a car …..he or she got a Save-A-Deer whistle. These are so simple- and simple to apply. We live in northern Michigan where there are lots of deer. But none have hit our cars while a save-a-deer was in place! I have an engineering background and found that the two sounds made by the air passing thru the whistle…..which would be heard by the deer; unique.

I thought I might give you some positive feedback on your product. I am a pilot car driver and I spend a lot of time in Montana, Idaho and Washington. I have used your product on no less than four separate pilot cars. I’m not sure if they work but I am one of the few pilots working today who does not have a deer collision story to tell. I will continue to purchase your product as long as i am working in this business. Thanks

Thanks as always. I have put many miles on all of the cars I’ve owned, Definitely in the million mile club. I have probably ordered well over 100 deer whistles over the years. They are the best, no deer since I started using them. I pass them out when someone gets new car or when I hear someone almost hitting one.

I love your deer whistles. I have used them for years and they work great! I like the fact that they are one unit and are very compact. I have put them on my motorcycles through the years, as well as our cars, and have made gifts of them to friends and family. Vigilance is still important as far as deer are concerned, but I believe I have saved life, damage, and/or injury (mine and deers) numerous times in the past using your products.

"I drive approx. 35000 miles per year as a salesman. From 2009 through 2014, I had 5 deer vs car collisions (one in the driver’s side door!) with a cheaper cone shaped whistle installed. From the spring of 2014 to present, with your whistle installed at the insistence of the safety officer I have not had a single collision in 79,000 miles.
I have witnessed on numerous occasions deer stop on the shoulder and look or turn tail and run to the woods as I approached. First several instances were chalked up to circumstance but you finally have a believer and have recommended this product to several friends in addition to installing on my personal vehicle.
Keep up the good work and PLEASE keep manufacturing in the USA!"

"My wife and I were traveling on highway 154 to Marshall, TX. It was at dusk. We came around a curve and my wife said, 'Look out for that deer!'A buck deer had just ran out of the woods to cross the 2-lane road. It stopped suddenly and looked directly at our car. Then, it turned and ran back to the woods.
The deer made its stop about 10 feet from the pavement edge. Had it continued across, I could not have avoided a collision.
My wife said, 'Now I know the deer whistle works.' I immediately ordered 6 more whistles to give as gifts to friends and relatives."

"I just purchased a new motorcycle and thought I need to order some more Deer Whistles before fall. My last purchase in Dec, I gave a few of them away and put a few of them on me and my brothers motorcycles. I can absolutely 100% guarantee your product works. We ride the back roads absolutely full of deer. When we approach they literally stop as if to look and see what's going on. I also noticed this with cattle and other animals.
Tonight I was taking a late afternoon ride to break in my new motorcycle. I was on a road that you would typically have deer run in front of you in the fall not typical in the summer. Well I was wrong. A huge deer ran right in front of me and I missed him by maybe 3 feet due to all riding skills and dang near wiping out. When I went riding in my head I thought I needed to pull the deer whistle off my other bike until I got these orders, but said nah no deer in this intense heat.
I am a believer in your product because I have personally witnessed it working.

"I’ve been a State Farm Insurance agent since September of 1976. I was going through my companies remembrance advertising catalog when I saw the whistles in the early 1990’s and ordered a few dozen for myself and to give to my clients who’d had a car/deer accident. About the sametime I started traveling 50 miles of freeway known for its’ car/deer accidents. I would often make the round trip 2-3 times a week or more and all of them were in the early to late evening. Never did I see or have a deer run in front of me. One afternoon, while traveling with my barbershop quartet to Battle Creek, MI to sing, we actually saw 5-6 deerapproach the road 200-300 yards in front of us from a corn field which had been cut down. They all stopped, looked our way and turned around and went back into the field instead of crossing the road.
BTW, I’ve never had a customer who had gotten a deer whistle from me have an accident with a deer. Most of them have come back to get a new one when they’ve traded in their cars however!"

"Tonight your product kept me from hitting a deer, once again. I decided to finally write to tell you about it! I have lived in the country with my mom for about 10 years now. Before we purchased a deer whistle we were in 3 head-on accidents with large bucks (police didn't know how we managed to live) and several near misses. You know..the kind where you have to pull off on the side of the rode because you are shaking from fear? The last accident messed up my mom pretty bad and she became an extremely fearful driver. She finally found your website and ordered a deer whistle. For the past 4 years she has driven without incident and she is confident again. When the time came for me to get my first car, 2 years ago, I had a deer whistle all wrapped up for me in a near little bow on my front seat. I have never felt so safe. "I live in Nova Scotia, Canada and about three years ago I had struck three deer; two with my 1991 VW Golf and wrote if off once and one with my 1978 Pontiac LeMans. I had seen deer whistles in dollar stores, etc. but researched to see if there was a company that carried a deer whistle that was actually tested. Well I came up with Living products out of Colorado. All the tests were on their homepage and the whistle tested the most effective was the no. 9 deer whistle which is the one that they still sell. Subsequently, I have ordered them and have placed them on my vehicles plus my motorcycle I bought this past summer. We witnessed in broad daylight a deer running towards our car, it froze and ran back into the woods a reaction that we gladly accepted with joy! We have had only one deer hit since I got the whistles and unfortunately the vehicle was not traveling at 35 mi/hr. It was near a major hotel, in close proximity to a field and a baby deer hit.

"This is one purchase that we never go without as we have been using this product for years now and we firmly believe that it has detoured may a deer in our path. Due to age and countless trips to the car wash, we lost two this year and now are replacing.
We not only use this product for our two vehicles but also included it in Xmas stockings a few years back for our children and immediate family members.

"I was given what I believe was one of these Deer Whistles when I changed insurance companies as a welcome gift. I can also say that during the ruts and when deer are active here in central Kansas, I have experienced deer standing still, if not turning around and bolting back into the field they came from. If they are in front of me on the road they suddenly double in speed and I have seen them jump fences. I have recently lost mine and just took information to the insurance agent who is unable to find anymore and has not been able to find any for two years. I will gladly buy one at the single price cost as a sales person at a national chain told me it was likely better than what they sell in their stores. For sales associate to send a sale elsewhere speaks volumes!"

"I wanted to provide you with a few numbers from our accident files. Keep in mind we currently run over 575 tractors over the lower 48 States: 29 recorded hit strikes in 2011 4th Quarter 2011: 17 Deer strikes. Estimated damages $40,000+
After buying your whistles in mid-December the results have been evident: 1st Quarter 2012: 3 deer strikes. Estimated Damages $5,000 Of these three strikes in 2012, one truck did not have your product installed, and another was travelling under 35mph. This leaves one strike in nearly 4 months of operation. Not to mention this decline in numbers happened during the rut.
I am a firm believer that your product works and works well. The cost to outfit our fleet was easily cheaper than repairing damages from a single hard deer strike. I would estimate our savings in truck damage to be somewhere between $20,000 to $30,000 for the 1st quarter alone. I just thought you might like to see the differences we have seen since using your product."

"I purchased several of these whistles and put one on my car and gave my family the rest. I have seen a big buck deer standing on the shoulder of the road looking at me and he did not move until I passed him. Another time there were three bunched together in the ditch that stood still until I passed them. I am so proud to own these Deer Whistles for I feel that those deer that I saw probably would have caused me another accident. "The other night I had the great misfortune of hitting an adult deer. I didn't see it at all. It slammed into the side of my car. It was a heartbreaking experience. The deer had to be put down and my car has about $3800 worth of damage. The good news is that my dealership has told me about the deer whistle and I have forwarded the information to many friends and family who are grateful to know about it. I do this in some small way to honor the deer, that it's death was not in vain. That a message can be sent out to help prevent the death of animals being struck and killed by vehicles not to mention the trauma, injury or death suffered by humans involved in these accidents."

"I had the opportunity to hit a 1000 lb moose cow with my 2002 Mazda Tribute this past week. I was driving carefully and slowly, but there we were. As he helped me complete the paperwork, the trooper who responded to my call mentioned using a 'moose whistle' on his vehicles. I’m aching, my car is totaled and the moose is dead. I think a $6.00 investment is a small one for a chance to prevent a repeat of this week! Count me in!"

"I cannot tell you how happy I was to find this product on–line. I received one of these exact whistles when I purchased my 2000 Dodge Stratus and it remained on the front of the car until I sold it last summer. I swore by that deer whistle and even though people laughed at me, I know it works.
I ordered two earlier and was happy to see it is the same whistle. I just ordered two more for Christmas gifts."

"I bought my first deer whistle from you in 2005 after reading the research study on your site. We had just moved to a small town surrounded by extensive rural countryside. During the following two years I traveled to work through a deer-concentrated area, and I definitely noted the deer "alerting" to your whistle. Countless times I would see their eyes reflecting in my headlights as they looked directly at my car, giving me that extra morsel of time to slow down in case they ran across. They never did. Instead, they stood watchfully still as I passed by in my car. I saw your whistle save several very young spotted fawns during that time as two or three family members stood at attention and watched me pass. Once, a fawn clearly startled and did not cross in front of me, not even to follow its mother that had just crossed and stood waiting on the other side! To me that experience alone is 100% proof of the deer whistle's effectiveness.
Since 2008 we have lived in yet another rural, deer-populated area. Last summer I replaced a defective bumper, and my deer whistle was also removed along with it. I really didn't think much about it, expecting that I would order another one sometime when I got around to it. Interestingly, in mid January I hit a deer as I drove to work before sunrise (my first ever such accident), causing extensive damage to my car as well. Over and above my pity for the deer, beyond the awareness that I could easily have been injured or even killed, and far more painful than the $500 insurance deductible was the knowledge that -- beyond a shadow of doubt -- this accident was completely preventable. Needless to say, the experience made a huge impact (pun intended). From now on, each and every one of our cars will definitely be equipped with one of YOUR deer whistles!"

"Love your product. I used it on my last trip to Tomahawk, WI. fall ride. I saw 5 deer and all stayed off road or ran off. Last year I did not have a deer whistle on my bike and unfortunately hit a deer causing about $ 5,800.00 Dollars damage. Luckily no one got hurt.

"We talked about getting this alert for a few years but just 'never got around to it.' Yesterday we kicked ourselves in our proverbial butts.
While enjoying a beautiful coastal ride through Nova Scotia on our motorcycles, a beautiful fawn jumped from the ditch right into the path of my husband's brand new motorcycle. Thankfully there was minimal damage to the bike but the fawn was not so lucky.
We are both animal lovers and it broke our hearts to remove this beautiful creature to the ditch. Her mum was pacing nearby, wondering what was delaying her infant.

“I have had the whistle tested through our South African science and technology body and below are some of our findings. We have found that the Whistle is making a sound between 5500 and 5700 hertz. In "real-life" the whistle showed a reaction on wild animals (Which are more sensitive to strange sounds), but did not show any affect on domestic animals, like cows, goats and donkeys. Best Regards"

“I work at a charming Inn/B&B in southern Vermont. I travel up Vermont Route 30N at 11 p.m. 5 nights per week. There are 10 farms with hundreds of acres of corn fields between my work and home. There are hundreds of deer that forage along side the road for that 20-mile stretch. I just ordered 2 of your whistles, one for me and one for my wife. I have hit a total of 11 deer in the past 5 years. She has hit 3 deer in the last 10 years. We have spent thousands of dollars in repairs to our automobiles. I don't know why I waited so long to buy your product. If you live in Vermont, your product is the first thing you should get when you buy a car. I am really lucky that the only damage has been to my vehicle, and I have not been hurt in an accident. Last night I hit a 200-pound buck while I was travelling at approximately 50 miles per hour. My car was totaled. I will be picking up another car at the dealership on Monday, and I will install your whistle as soon as it arrives in the mail. I will l let you know next year if I have hit any more deer.”

“I can't wait to receive the Deer Whistle I recently purchased for my husband. Two weeks ago, he was on his way home from work at 1:00 a.m. His only route is a highway with no street lights that pretty much runs through the desert. He was doing the speed limit of 65 mph, and with no advanced warning, a black cow walked onto the highway. My husband hit the cow doing 65 mph. He said there was literally no reaction time. Had the cow been 2 more feet onto the highway, it would've come straight up the hood into the windshield. I don't even like to think how this story would've ended had that happened. As it happened, my husband was very lucky that his 'only' injury was a facial laceration from the side view mirror hitting him in the cheek as it broke through the drivers window. His car is still in the body shop and has just under $8,000 damage. Since then, my husband gets the sweats and shakes every night when he drives home. He doesn't know I've ordered the Deer Whistle. I'm waiting until it arrives and I'll give it to him to put on his car when he gets it back, and hopefully, it will help ease 'some' of his anxiety on his drives home from work. I know I made the right decision in purchasing the Deer Whistle after having read other peoples’ reviews (that I will print for my husband to read).”

“Just wanted you to know that I put the 'Deer Whistle' on the front bumper when I received it, and I'm very happy to say it works very well. I just got home this morning from a 6-hour trip and about an hour ago, I came around a curve and down a dip, and there were 2 deer standing on the side of the road looking like they were waiting for a bus. Scared the he!! out of me! Thank goodness they didn't move from that spot. Wouldn't have had any time at all to do anything but hit them. Thanks for a great product!”

“We have used the Living Products Deer Whistle for at least 6 years, and we have seen the amazing results as we drive by the deer as they stand along side of the road and wait for us to pass by. However I want to tell you of this last experience we had during a 587-mile trip.
Our day began approximately 2 a.m. in the morning, leaving that early so we would beat the rush hour traffic through the larger cities and to have an opportunity to rest a few hours before our meetings began. As usual, this is the time of year that the deer are out for mating season. As we travel along East bound 50 highway we witnessed several deer just waiting for us to pass. This gives us a total assurance that the Living Products are doing their job keeping us safe.
On our return trip home again we are traveling after dark about 9:30 p.m. traveling west bound on 36 highway as we topped the hill and began the level pavement was when we saw 3 large deer running from the east bound 2 lanes coming to our side of the highway.
My husband immediately began to say " Oh my God they are going to get us this time." I said "No stay firm they will stop—we have the whistles"
Just like an animated cartoon, they come across the 2 lanes of east bound traffic and across the median grassy area on to the west bound fast lane of traffic, just as if they put on their brakes. Their hoofs hit the pavement, and 2 of them got stopped in their tracks; however, the third one when he hit the pavement his back feet slid out from under him and as he continued to skid out of control right across the road in front of us, applying the brakes, he got to the edge of the road he stood up and not being able to swerve to the left because the other 2 deer were standing there we held the car straight and as the animated deer stood upright our front right fender hit his right hip.
We maintained control of the van and no one was injured. The deer continued running into the farmers field as he jumped the fence. While the other 2 stood waiting for us to move out of their way.
Thank you so very much Living Products because without the deer whistle on the van who knows how many accidents we could have encountered this trip.
I know that we would have hit all 3 of the deer. These accidents happen so fast you really don't realize how many lives your deer whistles truly save. Sometimes we don't realize the value of confidence and safety.”
